Network Changes

When MFN and FurrIX were created, our team never intended on offering IPv4 services but decided to bolt it on because a lot of the internet still requires it due to broken or non-existent IPv6 support and a handful of our end users were doing full tunnels instead of split. Meaning that the connectivity for their networks was being routed through us for both stacks. For a little while…about two years or so, we were offering IPv4 port forwarding on a first come, first served basis to allow a transitional period for these end users as they migrated their labs over to IPv6.

However, that is coming to an end as of August 27th.
FurrIX, the project running MFN’s network gear, will no longer be offering port forwarding for NAT’d subnets included with our WireGuard profiles. While we will still bundle IPv4 for those who ask, it will only be meant for general internet connectivity and will no longer be configurable. Existing configurations will be serviced until October 30th, at which point all port forwards on kc.mo.us.catos.furrix.zone and kc.mo.us.ikus.furrix.zone will be cleared out.

Our projects are pivoting to primarily focusing on IPv6 going forward, with IPv4 being treated as legacy connectivity mostly to be used for allowing our end users to connect to our routers and services. We ask that our end users get in touch with support and let us know what firewall changes need to be made in order to allow traffic through to your labs before the switch over date.
