For when there are changes to our membership, project board or partner networks.

Welcome back, Kyru!

As you guys can see from the past few post, Kyru is returning to volunteer status as we get ready to switch back into full operation and expand our network.

He will be spending his time on tier one support and in the NOC helping us plan out and deploy our allocations across both of our servers. Also, his project is now a sister project to FurrIX as we have worked out a deal with Project Deco in exchange for his help around here.

One of the big projects involving him is reworking our terms of service, network management policy and acceptable use policy. While the spirit of these documents won’t change much, the language used in them will become cleaner.

I will be taking the time to show him around the IPAM, our routers and teaching him how to manage our name servers as time permits.

Welcome back to the team, Kyru!

Terms of Service Update

We are working on updating our Terms of Service, please take a moment to read over the changes. The update pushed today includes guidelines and expectations for our digital spaces and online communities.

Our Terms of Service can be found at:
https://www.marbledfennec.net/terms-of-service/

Website updates and NMP changes

Project members and guest should take a moment to review our Network Management Policy as some of the details within have changed. The changes should not directly affect any connected endpoints but it is better that ya’ll stay informed.

Bigger Changes:
* FurrIX will no longer provide temporary services to public end users; only our members and guest.
* FurrIX will no longer offer peering and cross project routing with other projects. This lessens our workload and lowers the traffic crossing our network.
* MFN has lowered the monthly data bucket to 600GB per month after reviewing the past three months of traffic patterns.

As for our website changes, we have update our about, FAQ and team pages to reflect the current state of our operations. Give those pages a quick read through when you have a moment.

Cleaned up networking and NS stuffs

We have processed disconnects for project members who have not be active for more than forty-five days. This means the related WireGuard profiles and PTR entries have been removed and those subnets have been returned to the pool.
